Fred Perry (GBR) defeated Gottfried von Cramm (GER) 6–1, 6–1, 6–0 in the final to win the Gentlemen's Singles tennis title at the 1936 Wimbledon Championships. Perry's victory was notable as the last Wimbledon won by a British male until Andy Murray won in 2013.
